28 February – 4 April 2014
Patrick Doherty is known for his free-style figurative illustrations that portray fantastic sequences and contain rich, colourful imagery. These epic, imaginative landscapes echo with ancient mythologies, often referencing spiritual, bodily and religious iconography to captivate and confront the audience.
In Confessions to god, but not mine, Doherty continues to explore this terrain and will focus in particular on past and present deities, god like beings and religious figures from a diverse range of cultural, historical and religious narratives.
