Featuring photography and installation, Immagical Thought Musuem, saw Eaton employ personal narratives to explore ideas surrounding identity and intimacy.
Referencing traditional museum display, the show revealed the artist’s interest in collection, repetition and memory. Five series of works were presented, each refererring to specific psychological tests and tools as well as a particular type of relationship. By deliberately displaying artifacts or traces from previous moments in his life, Eaton examined his own intimacy in a way that is subtly confronting, but that allowed for viewers to reflect upon their own personal intimacies.
