TOM MULLER AT LAWRENCE WILSON ART GALLERY AND PS ART SPACE

Venn represented artist Tom Mùller is showing new and recent artworks in two group exhibitions opening in Perth this week.

The Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery will present Panorama - an extensive group show exploring the evolution of the panoramic format and it’s contemporary use in art and science as a tool to simulate holistic environments. For the exhibition, Mùller will present a new video, Invisible Horizon 2014, a work that emerged from original footage captured in the Swiss Alps, including a two hour time lapse. Oscillating between natural documentation and a stylised depiction of a fantastical landscape, the work aims to blur the boundaries between the visible and the unseen.

PANORAMA EXHIBITION DETAILS:

EXHIBITION DATES: 3 May - 12 June 2014
GALLERY HOURS: Tuesday – Saturday, 11am – 5pm
LAWRENCE WILSON ART GALLERY: The University of Western Australia, 35 Stirling Hwy, Crawley, WA 6009

Mùller will also be included in group exhibition, Dark Light, and will exhibit a new site-specific and immersive work as part of his collaborative partnership with Horst Kornberger, Zweitgeist. Through the use of mirrors, the duo have elicited a visual experience aimed at drawing the viewers consciousness to the present moment, while simultaneously attempting to transport participants beyond the gallery’s walls. This work will appear alongside Múller’s White Void – a video produced especially for a major exhibition at Venn Gallery last year, New World Order.
